PROJECTS

SHEKINAH CHRISTIAN UNITY FOUNDATION INC.

Shekinah Christian Unity Foundation Inc. (SCUFI) also working with the facilitation and funding of humanitarian projects and infrastructures projects; Church Structure: Building of Christian Churches nationwide/ all over the country, in collaboration and Joint Venture Projects with the organization’s accredited and in-house Architects, Builders, Developers and other private business partners. The Construction of SHEKINAH GLOBAL HARVEST CHURCH with the proposed Eighty (80) Churches/ Sites on selected areas all over the Country, a small church that can accommodate a capacity of 350 people and Fifteen (15) Cathedrals with a capacity of 1,500 people in
selected areas.

Modern Christian church buildings are also a mirror of their time. Centuryold traditions play an equally important part, as do innovation and sustainability. The opulent facilities in churches from earlier eras has given way to a new minimalism: instead of sensory overload there is a reduction in what is essential. This creates space for the transcendent experience: the encounter with God. Art - formerly present as paintings, sculptures and frescoes - shows itself in modern churches through a plain and different form, this will be an iconic design and is usually a design that is 'ground breaking' and one that sets new standards in its field. It is a design that other designers and manufacturers follow, as it will become a bench mark in every site/ location on selected area all over the country.

Hence, iconic in refer to geographic structure that it will become a landmark - the geographic objects that will stand out, and will be known, and will be referred to an iconic significance its structure that is outstanding historical, aesthetically pleasing and impressively beautiful.

Balancing the entry of daylight against the buildup of heat is not an easy task for the designer. The use of passive design techniques such as the entry of daylight and natural ventilation will be the features of the church. These techniques are reinterpretations of devices that have been used for thousands of years but in this case, innovative in application using new technology. Breaking the use of traditional forms will allow the architect and engineers to explore techniques in construction. Load bearing system of walls, roofs and frames to form the shell of the church. The steel frame construction will be clad with aluminium honeycomb panels and it shall be
sprayed with nano technology paint on the exterior, a structure of such architectural prestige and symbolic meaning required the use of a very special materials, characterize not only by high mechanical performance and durability, but also by a color of considerable brightness, capable of maintaining the aesthetic appearance unchanged over time due to its self-cleaning property, hexagon shape photovoltaic glass panels, tempered tinted glass and solar panels will be use for the roof. This formula will create good thermal properties for a building within a tropical setting. Skylights consist of structural aluminium frames, tinted and tempered glass panels
and with angled perforated aluminium louvers sunshades. This will be part of an architectural composition that allows views and reflections for those inside to appreciate the lush greenery around the area. Beautiful blue skies can be seen from within with minimal direct solar radiation falling on high occupancy zones. Pushing the issue further, the way the building faces in relation to the sun is vital to its low energy design. Skylights face northeast and southeast with louver shades will be positioned to minimize the entry of
harsh afternoon solar radiation. The perforated aluminum ceiling and glass roof will reduce the need for artificial lighting. The Church design demonstrate a clear modern design: Its curved glass roof construction is a reminiscent of a “fishing boat in an open bible page”. Sandstone or sandycolored natural stone will be use in the exterior. The building will be managed to bridge the gap between the traditional symbolism of a house of God and the demands of modern religious architecture.
